I purchased an XSRA 1083 and on the rod it specified 3/8 oz - 2 oz lure weight. The Lamiglas site specifies this rod at 3/8 oz - 1 1/2 oz lure weight. Which is correct?
I also would like like to know if I use a heavier lure, say one extra ounce does this negate the warranty?

At lure weights greater than 1 1/2 ounces you will have to lobcast the rod which is not the intended use of a fast action rod. If you want to throw heavier lures buy a different rod.
