which should i choose for floating worms/jigs for steelies in rivers and casting spoons for salmon on piers on lake michigan. the x10ms or thex96js, im new at float fishing is 9'6'' long enough for floating, or is the x10ms strong enough to cast for spoons, trying to get an all in 1 rod. and would like your opinion ty

If you are looking at more of a all purpose rod I would stick with the X 96 JS it will work out better for use of spoons and spinners. It does have a little more power, and will be plenty long enough to float fish. Hope this helps have a great day.
