2 fishing rod questions

Good morning all,

I have not one, but 2 questions about Lami rods. The first question is I will be going up to the Kenai river in July to fish for reds. I will be fishing from the bank most of the time as when I go out on the boat I will be with a guide and he will supply his own gear. I would like the rod I choose for this trip to double as a " spinner and spoon " rod for spring salmon on the Willamette River, again from the bank. Recommendations? I understand from stopping in at different stores a 9' plus would be good.

Second question, I need a good sturgeon rod. I see a lot of people using a salmon type rod instead of the typical sturgeon rod. Recommendations, again the fishing will be from the bank. I have looked at some 15 to 50 " Kenai Killer " rods at the stores, would this be a good choice?

Thanks,

Kevin

For your dual purpose rod I

For your dual purpose rod I think you should look at the X90hc as it has lots of power and a light enough tip to fish a spinner.

As for the sturgeon rod I would only got with a salmon rod for keepers if you are in a boat. The G1316t will work in some places from the bank but you would be much better suited with a bank sturgeon rod like the NW1310-2.
