I have reviewed all previous posts about the subject and still can't make up my mind. I just don't want to spend $350 on a rod, only to regret it when a big king hands me my A@# because the rod can't handle the situation. I want to purchase a bank drift rod solely for kings and fishing fast flowing rivers (Skagit River). I occassionly run line greater than 17lbs. I prefer rods on the longer side (greater than 9'). I am leaning to the EXC92 M because of what has been posted previously, but I feel it may be to light. I thank you all in advance for the help.
May all your lines be tight,
Justin

Well your situation is a little tricky as you are asking for a rod that is kind of inbetween what we offer. I would say you might consider our X90HC. Although it might be heavy in some situations ,over all I think that this rod will handle heavier weight and line better than the EXC92M. The EXC92M is an awesome rod but with line going heavier than 17lb. and with heavier weight you will be maxing out that rod. Hope this helps, have a nice day.
