If you are going to be using that much weight I would reccomend that you use our G 1344-T Kenai Force. This rod is designed for that amount of weight. The RR 86MTC was designed as a rod for the Rogue as an in between rod. Heavy for half pounders but great for spring chinook and light fall chinook. As far as a plunking rod goes how much are you willing to sway on rod length and do you want spinning or casting, two piece or one piece.
