I'm looking for a glass plug rod light enough to handle 3-5 lb. Klamath River steelhead. Interested in the CG70DR or the CGR762L. Have heard that the XCC801 is due out pretty soon. How will it compare?

The XCC 801 will be out very soon. Just not yet. The CG 70 DR and CGR 762 L are completely different rods then the 801 The Kokanee rods are going to be on the light side with that size fish they might work. I would wait for the XCC 801. If you are set on the Kokanee models the CGR 762 L will be the one to get over the CG 70 DR. I believe if you wait for the XCC 801 you will be glad you did.

Thanks Jason. I'll look forward to seeing the 801. Thanks for the info.
