Indian River Spin Rod IRFA 763S as a bass rod?

Hi,

I am interested in purchasing an Indian River IRFA 763S as a bass rod for darterhead, shakyhead, and senkos. Is this rod have the correct action to cast and set hook on the bass. Plan to use it with 8 - 10lb mono. I'm interested in a 7'6" 1 pc rod for this apps. How's it compare to the Dobyns Champion 762SF (6-12lb line, 1/8-1/2oz, med./light fast action) or 763SF (8-17lb, 3/16-5/8oz, medium fast action) in action? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bassman.....the IRFA 763S is

Bassman.....the IRFA 763S is fine for those techniques but not as fast action as the Dobyns line of rods. The rod has a great light feel and should work just fine for what you need.
