steelhead rods

Im a new owner of a driftboat and want to purchase 3 new certified pro steelhead rods between now and next winter. I want a plug rod, side drifting/drift fishing rod, and a float rod. There are so many different rods, being pretty new to this im seeking your guys advice on which 3 rods will best suit these 3 styles of fishing.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello For the Plug rods I

Hello

For the Plug rods I would run the Lamiglas XCC 801 it is not in the catalog till 2012 but will be availible sooner. Have have been fishing the prototype they are awesome!!!!

For Side Drifting there would be several options. G 1367 in the G 1000, X 96 LS in the Certified Pro, and the EXS 96 LL in the XMG's the XMG is the best of the group as you step up you are getting a little lighter rod and better Balance as well as more sensitivity.

As Far as a float rod. That is more based on personal preferance guys run them any where from 8'6" to 10' 6" My personal preferance is the EXS 96 L this model will also double for a side drifting rod. It is 9' 6" rated 6-10 pound test. They are a great rod.

I hope this helps have a great day!!
