I'm trying to locate a tackle shop that has in stock the BL 7040 LB rod that was just introduced. Looking to purchase 3 - 4 rods if I like them.
I talked to Fishermans World located in Norwalk CT and they said it would take 6 - 8 weeks because its a "custom" order.
Would like to locate in the NY/CT area.
Can you help?
I did find a supplier that has one BL 7040LB rod. I mentioned over the phone that I wanted to use it for Striped Bass chunking/ live bait. He said this rod is WAY TOO LIGHT for Striped Bass. He said in order to "set the hook" would take ALOT of effort.
He said it would make a great fluke or porgy rod but would not recommend for bass. He said even the bl 7050 LB is still too light in the tip for bass.
He recommended the perfect rod which is the BL 7040 C which I have already. I'll pick up 3 more, then.
