XFT 764 build with micro guides

I am looking to build an all-around rod for Carolina rigs, some jigging, small swimbaits, pitching into small trees, and throwing traps, rip baits and spooons mostly in deep, rocky, clear lakes. Cal at Tackle Warehouse gave the XTF 764 a very good review. I am fishing mostly for largemouth, but some stripers also.
Is this rod blank the best for the above uses? If so, would a build with micro guides help the sensitivity and weight? Also, how long is the main blank (excluding the telescopic piece)?
If not, would something like the XC 724 or XC 705 be better?

I think you have a good idea,

I think you have a good idea, love the lively tip. Not my first choice for jigging, especially heavier than 5/8 oz., but everything else is a go. I like a 10 to 11 inch rear grip with that length rod, a fore grip is really not necessary in your application.

No one knows as much as all of us.

Wood.....look at the XC 724

Wood.....look at the XC 724 Senko Special. it's a similar action to the 764, but is a one piece blank (not telescopic like the XFT 764).
