I need advise which rod is good for surfing a counrty mile? I 'd purchased new one Ron Ara XSRA 1321 The old one i got is Loomis surf series 10'6 heavy its good only for heavy lure, since i like casting those top water so i got the Lamiglas i know their both good but casting or throwing a country mile what i need.Any?

Phil, For Clear Lake, I

Phil,

For Clear Lake, I would look at the Competitor CS701 or the CS681. These run just around $90. The best rods we have would be the Certified Pro series. I would then look at the XS661 (if you like a little lighter action in 6'6"), XS663 (if you like a little heavier action in 6'6"), XS703 (if you like a little heavier action in 7') or the XPS702X (if you like a little lighter action in 7'). Remember, the longer the rod, the further the cast.

For San Luis I don't know but call Glenn at Fishermans Warehouse, San Jose and he'll know which Lamiglas is best for you. The # is 408-873-0113
