Many of the custom rod builders are buying the shorter blanks and extending the butt sections. We do make a 15' 2 piece graphite model they are a little larger diameter. Yet very light for there size. The only bad part with adding the butt extentions is this does void the warranty. The Big Bang Heaver is heavier mainly because it is all Glass rather then graphite. They are very durable as well. Also they are built with very good components. The Big Bang Heaver do come with the Lamiglas factory Warranty. Hope this helps have a great day.
