Gentlemen,
I bought a Lamiglas G1342S. The other day when i finally got a reel for it. The sales guy told me a steady diet of braided line would make a groove in the guides. He suggested going with mono line.
Is this true about the guides? If so what do Y'all use for fishing rivers in WA? If not what line may i use for same kinda fishing?
I don't know much if anything about fishing. Kinda like the idea of braided line thinner and stronger line i guess.
Thank You for the help guys.

I've used braided line on my sturgeon rods since 1992 when the first TufLine was given to me to try. None of those rods or any of my others have grooved even a little bit, including all my Lamiglas rods. I've had some grooving on the guides on Berkeley or similar rods that have no ceramic ring in the guides.
There is nothing about the superlines that will harm any guide, after all it's pretty soft in your hand right? If you let sand and crud get in the threads in the line than you have a darn good abrasive, still the aluminum oxide in Lamiglas guides is the same material or harder than the abrasives in most sandpaper.
No one knows as much as all of us.
Hello
You will have no issues. All our models are just fine to run braided lines on.
