What would be some of the best rod choices for trolling for salmon on the Columbia River and at Buoy 10?

Backley,
It will depend on how long you are looking for. If you want to go the 10'6" route than I would go with our new XCC 1066GH. Great for heavy lead and divers. If you are wanting to go the 9' route than the XCC 934 would be your best bet. Great rod for most all salmon situations. Hope this helps.

I want to go the XCC 934 route. Given the choice between the standard 934 and the 934 GH, what would you recommend and why?

The handle choice really will come down to personal preference. Most of us prefer the graphite handle as it is easier to clean, slides out of rod holders nicer, never pits, never stains and never chips. There are far more pro's to con's for that rod choice. Hope this helps.
