Do you have actual weights for these 2 rods? I'm just curious how much lighter the XMG is.

I don't think the XMG 50 is lighter, just better graphite and components that will give a more sensitive rod.
No one knows as much as all of us.
Hello
The XMG is 6 oz and the Cert. Pro is 5. 4 oz. The XMG is a little heavier due to the Graphite handle even though it feel's lighter in the hand due to the balance of the rod. The blanks are very close in weight. The XMG has a faster action and has a little more power. As stated by Spoonplugger the rod is more sensitive. I hope this helps have a great day.
