I do not know what price point you are looking in as far as suggestions For a moderate priced rod you could go with the SK 11 MHC This rod comes with a limited one year warranty They are very light and responsive. Another great rod this model falls in a little higher price point the XS 11 MHC they are built with Fuji components and are built with a better grade of graphite and come with a limited lifetime warranty. Both would work out great for you.

okay jason or whoever,,, i was dumb,,i found it..now is the x 11 mhc strong enough to use w/ an 12-16 oz weight w/ when bank fishing for salmon? or should i use the g 1316t?

The XS 11 MHC is not designed to cast that much.
Although it is capable of doing it people do all the time just try to be gentle when you cast. As far as the G 1316 T it can handle it if you ar ok with a 9' rod. They are a very tough blank. Hope this helps have a great day.

If you would like the Rock Creek series I would go with the AC 86 MHC or the AC 86 MHS in spinning. They are a great rod for the price. The med/Hvy action will work well for both Steelhead and Salmon. Hope this helps have a great day.

The best rod for the price and quality for bank fishing salmon. I would go with the G 1000 series G 1314 T it is 8'6" 12-25# line rating. This would be a great choice.

In my books Jason hit it on the head. I use a G-1314T, Kenia Special or a G-1318T, Kenia King. The Kenia King is a stiffer rod and rated for 12 -30 Lb. line. Most of my time has been spent fishing in white water and both rods have served me well.

Get a Cascade Pro . Its a import , made in China , but a damm nice rod . I have one and love it . Or step on up to the Kenia series . Please , what ever you do , get rid of that ugly stick . The Cascade Pro wont cost much more than a ugly stick , but it is a much better rod . Runs about 80$ at BiMart . Woodland lammys in the G-1000 series run 170-180 at Joes fishermans Sportco or Sportsmans . Well worth the money . If you dont want to spend that much get a AIR rod from Berkeley . Got one for bobber fishing and it is a good sturdy stick . Pick up a ugly stick and then pick up these others , they are about 15# lighter than the ugly ! ! !

Is the AS96ML a good rod for steelhead from the bank

The AS rods were built for a sporting goods chain, All Sports. That said they are a nice rod for the money, built with decent components, Pac Bay I believe. Lamiglas, G Loomis and others have used Pac Bay for many years.

I have a Rock Creek Series IM7 AC86M witha Shimano Citica bait caster i use with a bobber set up. I have been fishing for a couple of years from the banks of the columbia by the John Day river and i love this rod it was recommended by a friend who has the same rod. It is only 8'6" light to meduim action and i have pulled some b runners with no problem.

Good suggestions but I prefer that you buy the average-priced pole because there are times that even though you buy the payday loans worth rod, the quality is more worst than the low-priced one. Just for you to be safe from too much spending.
