What is this rod optimal for?
Also I'm looking for a longer light spinner rod and a second longer drift rod. Any recommendations?

If 9' 6" is what you are looking for. In our XMG line of rods the EXC 96 M would be a great choice. If you do not mind a hair shorter rod the EXC 92 M is my number 1 Drift fishing and spinner rod I have. The best part of going from the Certified Pro to the XMG you are getting a little faster action and for what you are looking for this is a great feature to have in a rod. You will feel more through the blank as well you will have a lot better hook to land ratio. Hope this helps have a great day.
