Float Rods

XSH 135 2M ...... 11'3"....... 2....... 8-15........... 3/8-3/4........ 0.629 ........ 5.5 ........ 4 3/16

I want to build a Float Rod. This blank is rated 15lb test but to 3/4 oz lure.

The G Loomis 11'4" is rated to 12lb and 3/4 oz lure. I have tried this rod and it is to light for the water filled floats I throw. It is rated as a medium light Power.

The G Loomis 12'3" is rated to 17lb and 1 oz lure. It is a medium heavy Power. I also have tried this rod and it is better, but to heavy.

Where in the Lamiglas here. I want medium power. Any advice?

Hello Jeff We unfortunately

Hello Jeff

We unfortunately are very limited on longer float rods Over 11' this would be one of your only options. If you do not mind going a hair shorter the XMG 126 2ML is a great Float rod. As well as the XSH 126 2M or the XCH 126 2 ML any one of these models will work out very well for you. Hope this helps have a great day.
