Hello!
Tell me pleas is there any differences in action or in something else between Certified Pro XS 661 17 lb and Certified Pro XS 661 12 lb? While baying my Certified Pro XS 661 17 lb on Cabelas.com last month, I’ve found it only in Bass Series Directory, but I didn’t fined this model in official web-site catalog, only the Certified Pro XS 661 12 lb line test.
My rod is perfect and I’m very pleased, especially while using jigs and top-water lures, but I’m steel interested in XS 661 12 lb model.

No they are built on the same blank. The most current rating in our 2009 catalog is 6-10# test.

In the old catalog there was two 661s. The 661 rated 6 to 17 lb line and the 661F which is the only one listed now. The 661 in either the casting or spinning version was one of my favorite Lamiglas rods due to their do it all versatility. As far as I know the IMC781 and IMS781 blanks are still available, they are not the same blank, the IMC has a bit faster due to more butt power added to the blank.
No one knows as much as all of us.
We may have produced an Xs661F for someone special at one time but it has not. Or if we did it has not been in the last 20 years. The rods kimer is asking about are the same rods with different ratings. You are correct the IMC and IMS blanks are different but we do not produce a spinning rod on the IMC. Hope that helps.
