I'm looking to purchase a Lamiglas 9ft factory built rod. This rod will be used primarily from the surf but also looking to use on a boat. Most common plugs I throw are in the 2oz range, sometimes drop down to 1oz and sometimes up to 3.5 ozs.
Any suggestions on the following choices? Any other choices that I'm overlooking?
XSRA 1084
SS 91 MHS
XS 91 MHS

Any one of those rods will do the job well. The SS91MHS is probably the "stiffest" feeling of the three; the XSRA 1084 and XS91MHS are very similar in my hands. If you fish mostly with braided line I'd stick with the SS91MHS. If you use mono and throw pencil poppers and redfins/bombers I'd stick with the XSRA1084 or the XS91MHS.
