XSRA 1083-2

Just purchased 9' XSRA 1083-2 and noticed that the rod is rated on this website as 3/8 - 1 1/2 oz. The rod is labeled 3/8 - 2 oz. Has the rating changed? I have looked at this model on the internet and it's sometimes listed with the 2 oz rating. I'plan to throw 1 1/2 oz or less lures with this rod, but is cool to throw 2 oz?

We have changed the rating on a few of our blanks. The blank has not at all changed. There will be no problem at all casting 2 oz. I hope this helps have a great day.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the rod with the intension to throw small jigs and minnow type lures for stripers in the surf. I wanted a rod that would also throw small poppers well. I tried it out today with some small poppers. It throws Gibbs 1oz popper great. I have no intension of throwing 2 oz stuff, but it's nice to know the option is there.
