I need some direction for a rod for throwing spoons. I will be fishing Pyramid Lake Nevada for 5-12 pound Cutthroat. I use 10-12 pound test and cast a few different sizes of spoons. I have a 7 ft mediun heavy rod now that is ok but looking for something more suited for my fishing. I fish from the bank and need to get out pretty far but don't want something too long. I'll be using this in rivers and other lakes (smaller) as well.
Thanks.

Hello
I do not know what price point you would like to fall in to on a rod? I would look in to our steelhead models. There are a ton of different options as you step up in quality you are getting better components and more sensitivity with the higher grade of graphite. My personal favorite model for fishing spinners and spoons for steelhead is the EXC 92 M in the XMG 50 line of rods. If you are looking for a us made rod in a little lower price point the G 1313 T (Mag Taper) would be a great choice. The XMG is 9'2" and the G 1313 T is 8'6" both will work out very well for you. I hope this helps have a great day.
