I just found a Lamiglas AR 9 M 9' rod with a Alvey 500/C reel out in the shed of a place I just bought here in Estero Beach, Ensenada, Mexico. I was wondering if this setup is good for surf fishing and also maybe someone could tell me the approximate age of the rod. They look almost new with the exception of the rubber butt cap, which is cracked. If anyone could tell me where I may purchase a replacement rubber butt cap, I'd appreciate it.
