Hello,
I am planning to buy either TFX7665CT or TFX7040CT but can not decide what is the best for my use. I am fishing party boats for cod, black fish, blue fish and stripe bass and need to be able to swing fish into the boat(and not to break a rod) and feel a bite. Will be using 8-12oz lead. As I understand both rods are sensitive and strong. Any feedback is appreciated.

I believe you are refering to the TFX 7650 CT and not the TFX 7665 CT ? I would say for your application the TFX 7040 CT would be a better fit for sure. I hope this helps have a great day.
