I fished a new 9'0" EC 907 7wt Esprite on my trip to AK this August. The rod fished well for me. Handle stinking hordes of chromer pinks for several days and a few very strong Alaskan silvers. If you have smaller hands like I do you can ask them to taper the handle into cigar shape like on the 6 weight. This also handled Kenai rainbow and dolly just fine. Here is a photo of the rod bent nicely in Hope AK on a tidewater silver. The fish might not have all been large but constant action can realy work a graphite rod and this one made it comfortable.
