Can one tell if it's fast action?
From the model no.,approx. how old or the year of mfgr.?
Is it Graphite combined with Fiberglass?

That model which should be G-1298-9 I believe, was a fast action rod, made up of all graphite and could be as old as 20 years. We only discontinued them two years ago. Hope this helps.
