I recently acquired a Lamiglas rod with markings: SFW852M. It is 7ft. long, has the Lamiglas logo and apparently is made for freshwater. It is in excellent condition and seems constructed to high quality standards. Is it possible to find out more information on this rod...age, construction details, particular fishing recommendations?

Hi,
This is an "S" glass blank made in the late 80's early 90's. The model number is S for sglass, then FW which is freshwater (trout, panfish, bass), then 85" long, 2 piece and medium action. Lure rating for the rod is 1/4-3/8. S glass blanks featured great actions and were very well liked by those throwing spinnerbaits, crankbaits or pulling plugs.
