Hi,
I'm wondering what you guys would suggest for a downrigger King Salmon rod. The stores around my area do not stock very many rods so I can't feel them all. So far of the ones I've handled, the X96 Certified Pro 8-12, 3/8-3/4 was probably my favorite.
I also like the graphite grips but those don't seem to be an option with a lot of rods, and I didn't see it listed for the one mentioned above.
The area I'm fishing is the central California coast, right off of San Francisco. When we have a season that is....

The rod's I feel would work out the best for you would be either the XCF 903. Or the XCC 934 if you would like a rod with a hair more power. The XCF is a all Glass model the XCC is both Glass and graphite. Both are great down rigger rods. Fiberglass is the best way to go for down rigger use. I hope this helps have a great day.
