frog rod xc68dfr

I had 2 frog rods and both rods shattered on a hook set and I was told that it was a high stick break, I sent in my second rod and its been 8 months with no word. Is this high stick break just a copout for a bad design. I also us loomis rods that are not design for frog fishing with no problem. I have had friends send there rods in for the same problem and lamiglas sends them a new rod, whats up with that.. is it just me?

This is an advise forum and not the business end of Lamiglas get on the phone or email them. That said I have a custom rod built on that blank I've used for many years including much bigger fish like pike and muskies, no problems with the blank, but I never highstick a rod, there is no power and only breakage in a highsticked rod.
Test it yourself, get another rod you own and attach it to your fish scale, you'll see there is much more power in your rod at 45 degrees when your using the blank's butt, and almost none at highstick as only the tip is loaded and at the blank's weakest position while your at it.

No one knows as much as all of us.
